Art DirectorDesign is where it all began and it remains Penelope's first love. Trained as an Interior Designer and specializing in the theatrical and historical, she has worked as a theatre set designer and Art Director for period dramas, musical theatre and music videos. She is in pre-production for a breath-taking adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's short story about love and ambition 'The Bridal Party' shot on location in London and the French Riviera, and for a contemporary romantic drama 'Almost Angels' to be filmed in Brazil.

Associate ProducerPenelope has joined an incredible film project as Associate Producer, and is working alongside celebrated photographer Steven Lyon. 'Something that Matters' is a breath-taking and sometimes hard-hitting feature documentary exposing the poaching crisis and endeavouring to save Rhinos from extinction.

2nd Assistant DirectorOn some sets, Penelope works as 2nd Assistant Director. While 1st ADs work closely with the technical crew, 2nd ADs liaise with principle actors, conveying directorial notes and performance encouragement as well as attending to their production scheduling. It is a role that demands great tact and diplomacy as well as a creative eye for storytelling and what action the camera is capturing.

Creative Editor & Foley DesignerWith a sensitivity to aesthetics, an eagle-eye for detail, and a deep dedication to a script's sub-text nuance and richness that comes from being a designer, Penelope naturally gravitates in post-production to the creative editing process to find the best shots, takes and angles to tell the story. Designing a soundscape to compliment the action or to influence a scene's mood applies and extends these skills into the aural (rather than visual) dimension. It is another sensory gateway through which facets of character and theme can be expressed on both a conscious and subconscious level.

Production ManagerA natural cross-over for these inter-personal and organizational skills is the position of Production Manager. Penelope has worked in this capacity for a range of projects including a Philip Treacy fashion film, a magazine fashion editorial, a fragrance commercial, a short film, bespoke commerical films and on a second unit feature film set.
