Red Carpet Premieres
Red carpets are not always serious! Oh they are in terms of securing tickets, following strict dress etiquette and being on time, but we do have a lot of fun up there under all the lights and constant gaze of the cameras. Trying to keep my actors together can be tricky when there are so many lenses to smile into.
Red carpets are the perfect opportunity to increase a film's visibility and actors' profiles as it is the one time in Cannes when everyone is focused on the same thing.

Major Events
Its important to host at least one event or party in Cannes and, depending on the size, invite your entire little black book of friends, contacts and industry big-wigs or be selective with a strict guest-list of your VIPs.

Press, Gifts & Publicity
Other publicity and awareness comes from arranging interviews with a very hungry press corp, scheduling meetings with film buyers and distributors, and sending actors to gifting suites where they can select from a range of products that sponsors have donated for reciprocal publicity. They then wear these items for their photo shoots, to parties or on the red carpet for maximum exposure.
